Year in Review

We got the resolutions out of the way last week and before we can move to forecasting,we will have to analyze the past year. Dalton Electric Heating Co., Inc. enjoyed a very strong year with about 15% growth in our Watt-Flex® cartridge heater business. During a year of tough pressure from companies that dwarf our presence in the marketplace, how do we do it?

Over the year we have added capital equipment on our manufacturing floor that provides greater consistency in heater processing. We have expanded our Quality Assurance Group to insure that heaters are 100% inspected and exceed customer expectations every time. We have expanded our Customer Service staff to insure that you get quick answers to questions and quotations as promptly as possible. Service and Quality are our two mainstays when dealing with distributors.

The real secret is that customers just don't go away. When they understand the gain in performance and the decrease in cost of heating that they experience when they switch to Watt-Flex, they stay put. How does this translate to success for your efforts?

Well, when you work hard and close a customer, you get them for the duration of their application. They simply learn that they can't substitute a competitive heater and get the same performance ... you keep the resale and the continuing business. And that's a smart decision to lead off in the New Year !!!
