New Software

If you have placed orders for Watt-Flex® cartridge heaters this year, you have probably noticed that we have significantly changed the appearance of quotes, order acknowledgements and invoices. The old pin printer that pounded out paperwork in triplicate is in the storage room and will likely make its way to the dumpster shortly.

We have installed a new software program that bundles all of our functions, from quoting and order processing through heater design, job planning and execution to invoicing and finance. As you can well imagine, it has made for a very interesting and stressful January, but we are now benefiting from the consistency of information available to us.

We do expect to experience an occasional glitch, but we have successfully bypassed most of the problems with the installation and will be moving to the next few stages, including inventory, scanning and detailed job costing. We look forward to becoming a more efficient operation and increasing our responsiveness to you.

Friday Funnies

Arthur is 90 years old and has played golf every day since his retirement 25 years ago. One day he arrives home looking downcast. 'That's it', he tells his wife, 'I'm giving up golf. My eyesight has gotten so bad...once I've hit the ball, I can't see where it went.'

His wife sympathizes and says, 'Why don't you take my brother, Bob with you, and give it one more try'.

'That's no good', sighs Arthur. 'Your brother is a hundred and three. He can't help'.

'He may be a hundred and three', says the wife, 'but his eyesight is perfect'.

So the next day Arthur heads off to the golf course with his brother-in-law. He tees up, takes an almighty swing and squints down the fairway. He turns to the brother-in-law. Did you see the ball?

'Of course I did !', says the brother-in-law. 'I have perfect eyesight'. 'Where did it go?', asks Arthur.

Bob responds, 'I don't know, I can't remember'.
