This week a distributor salesman asked me about advertising. I was pleased to tell him that we have an aggressive advertising budget for 2007 which includes space advertising,both domestic and international, mailed postcard decks, e-postcards and e-newsletters. We also pay for internet position with major search engines and keywords.

We have redesigned our e-postcard and you can find a sample of it in this IEN deck. As you can see, our website and email addresses are listed right on the page for easy access.
E-postcards are processed just like any other lead for which we send out a mailing and forward the information to the appropriate distributor for follow-up.

It is increasingly more difficult to measure the effectiveness of media. Years ago we were provided with hard numbers for ad response and were able to count returned postcards. The customary response now is to go straight to the website to determine if the product fits the application before a decision is made to reply. That qualification process weeds out "lit collectors" and helps us spend our marketing time more effectively. What we do know is that there has been continued growth in the number of new customers and new customer revenues each year.
