The Team Grows!!!

One of the delightful things about expanding business is that we have to add to our office staff. This was the first week for our newest employee, Jen Adams. Calls and orders have been coming in at such a fast pace that Marla Rousseau has been in a support role to Customer Service and finding it difficult to manage our marketing lead program and stay on the proactive side of sales. So Jen has joined us to augment the Customer Service function, freeing Marla and the Regional Managers to focus on sales.

Jen is a graduate of Northeastern University and spent ten years with WGBH-TV working on the NOVA Science Series. She spent another seven years working principally in the evenings, recruiting and mentoring home gift sales people while she raised a young family.

At Dalton Electric, Jen works part time while balancing a house with one husband, two sons, 1 dog, 2 cats, a gerbil and 17 fish. She loves to garden but spends most of her time driving and watching her husband and boys play hockey and baseball. She loves to travel and gets away as much as possible, with or with out everyone above.

We are fortunate to have Jen working with Dale Lyons and fully expect that you will enjoy their increased efficiency and response.

Give Jen a call today or next week and welcome her aboard!

Friday History Lesson
(from two years ago)

Most people don't know that Hellmann's mayonnaise was manufactured in England back in 1912. In fact, the Titanic was carrying 12,000 jars of the condiment scheduled for delivery in Vera Cruz, Mexico, which was to be the next port of call for the great ship after its stop in New York. This would have been the largest single shipment of ever delivered to Mexico...but as we know...the great ship did not make it to New York. The ship hit an iceberg and sank...and the cargo was forever lost.

The people of Mexico, who were crazy about mayonnaise and were eagerly awaiting its delivery were disconsolate at the loss. Their anguish was so great that they declared a National Day of Mourning which they still observe to this day.

This National Day of Mourning occurs each year on May 5th....and is known...of course...
as "Sinko De Mayo."
