Over the last seven years since 9/11 our computers have been inundated with pictures and remembrances of our troops. Debates rage on about the value or justification for
stationing our Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines in countries like Iraq and Afghanistan.
But on this special day each year, we all must put aside these arguments and simply pause to give thanks that these people are willing to make sacrifices in their lives on
our country's behalf. We have all had relatives and friends that have served and I am struck by the understanding and sense of mission which they express upon their return
to the States.
Take a moment during your celebrations this long weekend and extend a prayer of thanks for these courageous Americans. And have a great Memorial Day weekend.
