Camber is defined as a slight convexity - a shape that curves or bulges outward. It comes into play as an
advantage for Watt-Flex® cartridge heaters. Two factors present problems with the use of conventional cartridge
heaters in long bores:
Conventional cartridge heaters can warp and bind up in the bore because of temperature differentials from one side of heater to the other. The Watt-Flex cartridge heater has a flexibility resulting from its split-sheath design. A long heater will display an ability to slightly bend with camber in a bore, maximizing ease of installation, while affecting the optimum surface contact with the walls of the bore. In our production process heaters will occasionally exhibit a slight camber resulting from manufacturing. The convexity is easily straightened and, because of the flexibility of the heater, will never be a problem with customers.

The roundest knight at King Arthur's round table was Sir Cumference. He got his size from too much pi. I thought I saw an eye doctor on an Alaskan island, but it turned out to be an optical Aleutian. She was only a whiskey maker, but he loved her still. A rubber-band pistol was confiscated from algebra class because it was a weapon of math disruption. |
