How Loyal is the Customer?
Loyalty is all about reciprocity ... and vice versa, I am sure. Just as every one of you have, Dalton has some customers with whom we have been working forever.
The relationship runs deep and, when they call with a special or unusual request,we jump a little higher and dig a little deeper. The keys to our success have everything to do with quality and initial service. But our keys to continued success are loyalty and response.
Eli Whitney recently visited a customer that he first visited about 22 years ago. He was met in the parking lot outside one of the manufacturing plants by a senior Engineer with whom he has worked the entire time. This East Coast company had purchased a Midwest competitor and the Engineer had spent time there during the transition. He proceeded to tell Eli about how he had cleared the
inventory shelves of Watlow and Tempco and proceeded to instruct the locals to ONLY buy Watt-Flex® cartridge heaters.
He told Eli about inconsistency of temperature profile, poor performance of the existing cartridge heaters and the extra costs of using inferior cartridges (his words). He went on to state that he thoroughly understood the savings in Cost of Heating and that he has enjoyed the benefits of using Dalton heaters for 22 years.
Heartwarming? Yeah, the kind of story that you love to take time to be told in person. How do we get to that point? I'll catch you next week.

Friday Funnies
Law of the Alibi... If you tell the boss you were late for work because
you had a flat tire, the very next morning you will have a flat tire.
The Variation Law... If you change traffic lanes, the one you were in
will always move faster than the one you are in now... (works every time!).
Law of the Bath ... When the body is fully immersed in water, the
telephone rings.
Law of Close Encounters ...The probability of meeting someone you
know increases dramatically when you are with someone you don't want
to be seen with.
