Hot Performance

We enjoy being specified and quoted for all cartridge heater applications that distributors come across. Some sales people look at Dalton Electric as problem solvers ... and we certainly come by that reputation honestly. Here is one of those applications.

The volume was small and the heater was 8mm and quite short with a healthy watt density. A professor wanted to drive a small furnace as high as possible. We worked with his design, supplying the heater with ceramic beads over MGE insulated conductors to withstand the high heat. 

Last week we received news that he ran his furnace up to 1000 degC for several hours, is very happy and wants more heaters for other tests.  It's not big volume, but it is testament to the hot performance of the Watt-Flex® cartridge heater ... and certainly reason to consider value rather than price.        

Friday Funnies

My friend Tim took Mary out for a romantic dinner where conversation turned toward marriage.

You see, Tim had been saving for an engagement ring - but he was in graduate school and in dire need of a computer. Mary was understanding, telling Tim they had the rest of their lives to get engaged, so he should use his savings to buy a computer instead.

During dessert, Tim suddenly reached into his pocket and pulled out an engagement ring. Mary was stunned. But after she collected herself, she looked up and prompted, "Well, don’t you have something to ask me?"

Tim then got down on bended knee. "Honey," he said, "will you buy me a computer?"
