The Look of Quality

Quality is a key component of the success of Dalton Electric Heating. Every heater is inspected before it is nested into a carton for shipping. In addition to a 100% electrical check, "GO" and "NO-GO" gauges are applied to the heater to ensure that it is within the specified diameter. The I.D. tolerances of these gauges are +/-.00012".

The overall length is checked against tolerance and the markings, which have been applied by laser, are confirmed. The heater is checked for straightness and the lead wire is checked for proper insulation and length. The final check is cosmetic ... does the heater look great? Although cosmetic flaws do not generally diminish the heater performance, we know that they are inconsistent with customer expectations of Quality.

We formerly experienced problems with shipping, since carriers can be pretty tough on cartons, dramatically shifting the contents. For more than two years we have been using a foam-in-a-bag that has eliminated all shipping problems. The foam is dispensed and expands in the box to form a soft, but firm nest around the heaters, preventing movement. This extra measure finishes the Look of Quality that you and your customers have come to expect from Dalton Electric Heating.

Friday Funnies

It was a sunny morning, a little before 8:00am, on the first hole of a busy course, and I was beginning my pre-shot routine, visualizing my upcoming shot when a piercing voice came over the club house loud speaker: "Would the gentleman on the woman's tee back up to the men's tee please!" I could feel every eye on the course looking at me. I was still deep in my routine, seemingly impervious to the interruption.

Again the announcement, "Would the man on the woman's tee kindly back up to the men's tee." I simply ignored the guy and kept concentrating, When once more, the Man yelled, "Would the man on the woman's tee back up to the men's tee, please!"

That's when I turned and shouted back "Would the idiot with the microphone please shut up and let me take my second shot!"
