Lead Generation

We are analyzing results of our advertising campaign. The orientation of this exposure is always lead generation as opposed to image. Within the industrial heating community, Dalton Electric Heating is generally recognized as a quality leader in the field of cartridge heaters. The year end question is: what exposure (space ads, postcard decks, electronic directories, search engines, direct mail, email, etc) generates the most effective buzz.

Our TGID issue of 10/19/2007 featured our story of Eli Whitney's article in Process Heating Magazine. Additionally, this week we were included, with a number of other manufacturers in the weekly "In Brief" e-mail newsletter to 5,000 sub-scribers of Process Heating ... the extract reads:

In December we will be sitting down to plot our 2008 campaign. The important thing that we will commit to you is that we will keep the leads coming to you, as long as you recognize their importance and keep closing them. We wish you good selling.

He didn't see the surprise party coming. We gathered in the break room and caught him completely off guard ... and we kept the Over-the-Hill jokes to a minimum !!!

Several years ago, Andy was sentenced to prison. During his stay, he got along well with the guards and all his fellow inmates. The warden saw that deep down, Andy was a good person and made arrangements for Andy to learn a trade while doing his time.

After three years, Andy was recognized as one of the best carpenters in the local area. Often he would be given a weekend pass to do odd jobs for the citizens of the community, and he always reported back to prison before Sunday night was over.

The warden was thinking of remodeling his kitchen and in fact had done much of the work himself. But he lacked the skills to build a set of kitchen cupboards and a large counter top which he had promised his wife. So he called Andy into his office and asked him to complete the job for him.

But, alas, Andy refused.

He told the warden, ''Gosh, I'd really like to help you but counter fitting is what got me into prison in the first place."
